High Hyalplus is a sterile gel containing 20 mg of sodium hyaluronate in 2 ml of liquid, used to treat people with painful knees caused by osteoarthritis. Although sodium hyaluronate occurs naturally in the joints, as a lubricant and as a shock absorber, it can completely disappear in the joints, causing pain and difficulty in movement. High Hyalplus helps to increase mobility and independence. The drug is administered intra-articularly (to a depth of 1 mm in the upper layers of the epidermis), so it must be administered under strict aseptic conditions. The preparation is hypoallergenic, non-toxic and the results are safe and noticeable after the first treatment. The full treatment consists of 3-5 treatments performed once a week and provides more than six months of relief from the pain associated with osteoarthritis. It is intended for patients for whom other therapies do not provide sufficient pain relief.
